After studying Law with Politics at university, Daniel’s putting his expertise to work as an Associate in Financial Advisory, helping businesses find new and innovative solutions.
How did you join Deloitte?
I joined in 2018 on the two-year Forensic Technology graduate scheme. I studied Law with Politics at the University of Manchester and before joining Deloitte, worked as a derivatives Paralegal.
What are you responsible for in your role?
I currently work within the Contract Management capability, which sits within eDiscovery and Digital Forensics in Forensic Technology. We use technology solutions to assist organisations with the management and analysis of its contracts.
My role is to assess a client’s existing contracting processes, design a bespoke solution and ensure the implementation of the technology runs smoothly.
What’s a typical day like for you?
Most days are a mixture of business development work and project work. I typically work with a team of 7 in London and a wider international team. Working within a small London based team has meant that I have been given responsibility for a range of tasks so far.
Live project work typically involves scoping a client’s needs to understand how we can create efficiencies, design workflows and processes to extract key information, as well as meeting clients face-to-face to present our work.
Business development work typically involves preparing proposals, designing tailored demonstration environments to show clients and providing responses to client proposal questions.
What was your most memorable moment on the job so far?
I designed a demonstration environment of our solution for a prospective client in a short space of time. Once the environment was built by the software developers and tested by my team, I attended the demonstration and was proud seeing my work showcased to senior stakeholders within the client.
Why would you recommend Deloitte to someone?
Deloitte is a firm where you have the opportunity to guide your career in the way that you want. What sets Deloitte apart is its commitment to training and innovation.
It is easy to work from home whenever necessary; I just need to ask my supervisor for approval with it more often than not being granted.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My main passion outside of work is sport. I’m an avid Arsenal fan and enjoy playing football, tennis, squash, going to the gym and running.
I’m also a member of JNET (Deloitte’s Jewish network) and have attended talks from Holocaust survivors and business leaders.
